Ryan Bailey and Natalie Puche Talk Popular Children Shows on New Cloud10 Podcast, “What the Kids Are Watching”

Press Release · Los Angeles, CA, USA ·

This article is at least a year old

Natalie Puche, better known as “Mom” to her three-year-old daughter, Piper, is teaming up with non-parent, Ryan Bailey, to explore the bizarre, adventurous and silly world of children’s television today, in What the Kids are Watching

In each episode, Natalie and Ryan dive into different popular kids shows– whether it’s Doc McStuffins, Cocomelon, Paw Patrol or Peppa Pig– and recap and review their opinions and hottest takes on what the kids are currently watching.

The episodes open with a brief overview of that week’s show, presenting it as a strange cultural artifact. These shows become a part of life for parents, a captive audience, and they need a reminder that so many of these shows are just plain strange, occupying an odd little niche of the cultural spectrum.

“I’m beyond excited to continue my relationship with Cloud10 and to co-host with the insanely talented Natalie Puche. This was an opportunity to not only dissect the weird, wild, cool, funny, sometimes scary and always unique world of children’s cartoons but to also give myself the ultimate test-deciding, through watching every kids show out there, if I will choose to have a child one day myself - that’s a lot of pressure for one podcast but I’m up to the task.” Ryan Bailey adds.

For Natalie, “As a mom, I’m consumed with all things kids - shows, movies, music etc. I often catch myself watching my daughter’s favorite shows and think, ‘does anyone else think this is absolutely ridiculous?’ which is why I’m beyond excited to start this podcast with Ryan Bailey. His refreshing point of view as a young single guy living his best life and me, a very tired mom, just happy to be speaking to another adult.”

Natalie and Ryan recap no more than 3 episodes of the specific show that week. In addition to recapping and reviewing, they offer each other questions to answer in informal segments like “What did we learn today?” “Why do kids like this?” and “On a scale of ‘Stepping on a Lego While Barefoot’ or ‘Would Turn Down Free Booze and Babysitting to Stay Home and Watch This’ how enjoyable was this?”

“Natalie and Ryan are the perfect hosts to bring this concept to life. Their energy, chemistry, and humor will broaden their already loyal and engaged fanbase to moms, dads, grandparents, kids, and anyone who are fans of the wacky cartoons of this generation,” says Cloud10 CEO and executive producer, Sim Sarna.

Sim Sarna will executive produce the podcast for Cloud10 Media, and it will be available on all major podcast streaming platforms — including iHeartRadio, Apple Podcasts, Castbox, Spotify, Google Podcasts and Stitcher — when it’s released on August 12. What the Kids Are Watching is distributed by Cloud10 and the iHeartPodcast Network.
