Michelle Bridges Launches ‘We Have A Situation’ Dedicated to Perimenopause and Menopause
Michelle Bridges (above, right) has today launched We Have A Situation, a mainstream podcast dedicated to perimenopause, menopause and post menopause, available to subscribe to now on all major podcast platforms. With an estimated 85% of Australian women experiencing menopausal symptoms, yet only 10.5% receiving proper treatment, the podcast is a vital response to the widespread lack of awareness and support women face during this stage.
Aiming to break the silence surrounding menopause, We Have A Situation offers real, honest conversations that empower women with expert advice and the tools to take control of their health and well-being. Michelle is leading the charge to normalise menopause discussions, and the first season features an impressive line-up of guests, with a new episode released each Tuesday, starting today, until April 15.
The first episode features Dr. Fatima Khan, a leading perimenopause and menopause specialist, who addresses the often-unspoken realities of menopause, debunking breast cancer myths and exploring its impact on women’s health, careers, finances, and overall well-being.
The episode line up also includes fashion entrepreneur, Pip Edwards (above, left), who, in the second episode shares her deeply personal experience with perimenopause and fertility, an important story every woman in her 30s that wants to have a family needs to hear. Following episodes feature discussions with Melissa Doyle AM, journalist and author of Age Against the Machine, Georgia Grace, Certified Sex & Relationships Practitioner, Somatic Therapist & Author, Dr Ceri Cashell, a GP specialising in female hormonal health, Dr Jennifer Hacker Pearson, a neuroscientist specialising in brain health and mental well-being during menopause, Dr Jenny Cook, a leader in gynaecology and fertility, Lisa Donaldson, an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Dr Adam Brown, a GP and anti-aging Doctor, specialising in perimenopause and menopause. This incredible line up of experts, and more, will share their insights on the physical, mental, and emotional impacts of menopause.
“Menopause has long been hidden behind a veil of silence and misinformation. It’s time to break the silence and make it a conversation everyone feels comfortable having. Women deserve better. We Have A Situation is my passion project to start the conversation - one that’s open, honest, and empowering. Menopause isn’t a ‘change of life, ’ it’s a ‘call to action.
’ I’m here to help women step into this with confidence and feel supported along the way as we unpack the incredible potential this stage of life holds once you understand it and learn how to manage it. Menopause is finally mainstream!” says Michelle Bridges.
The podcast features candid interviews with leading medical professionals, cutting-edge researchers, and inspiring Australian women who share their personal experiences with menopause. In each episode, Michelle and her guests dive into the physical, mental, and emotional impacts of menopause and offer practical advice on how to manage symptoms and futureproof the following years of life. With episodes covering topics including Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), brain function, weight gain, bone health, mood changes, and sleep disturbances, We Have A Situation provides women with actionable insights they can immediately incorporate into their lives.
The importance of this podcast is further underscored by the alarming statistics surrounding menopause. For example, menopause is linked to a significantly higher risk of osteoporosis and cardiovascular diseases, with many women unaware of the risks until it’s too late. Adding to this, menopause doesn’t just affect the body.
For most women, it starts in the brain, making it harder to focus, make healthy choices and get started on adapting their health and lifestyle. Despite this, menopause remains a topic many women still don’t openly talk about or seek insights on. Through We Have A Situation, Michelle aims to change that and create a space where women can access the knowledge and support they need.
The first season of the podcast features an impressive line-up of experts, including:
- Dr Fatima Khan, a leading perimenopause and menopause specialist who combines a holistic approach with clinical expertise to offer treatment solutions.
- Pip Edwards, fashion entrepreneur, who opens up about her personal journey through perimenopause.
- Melissa Doyle AM, journalist and author of Age Against the Machine.
- Georgia Grace, Certified Sex & Relationships Practitioner, Somatic Therapist & Author.

Each of these guests brings a wealth of knowledge to the podcast, helping women understand the complexities of menopause and providing them with the tools to navigate the challenges with confidence.
This is the next stage in Michelle Bridges reinforcing her commitment to empowering women to take control of their menopause journey, following Michelle’s widely successful program, The Menopause Method, since its debut in 2024. This 12-week body transformation program combines exercise, nutrition, mindset, and education to help women across Australia thrive through menopause with confidence and strength.
"I’ve personally gone through, and am still going through this stage in my life. It started with the mood changes, I wasn’t feeling myself, I was hearing that old internet dial up sound in my head in the middle of the night, my sleep was disturbed and so much more. It was my own experience of mis-diagnosis that has made me dive deeper into the research behind perimenopause and menopause over recent years. What I’ve learnt has been both shocking and enlightening. ” We’ve been conditioned to fear menopause and the changes it brings to our bodies and minds. But with the right knowledge and support, it doesn’t have to be something we ‘endure. ’ It can be a time of evolution and empowerment. ” states Michelle.
Michelle’s unique combination of personal experience and professional expertise has made her a trusted figure in the health and fitness space. Through the podcast and Michelle’s 12WBT programs including The Menopause Method, Michelle is helping women to understand that menopause is a time to invest in their health, well-being, and future, empowering them to make this next chapter of life one of the most fulfilling yet.
