Wave Partners with Langston Kerman and David Gborie to Oversee Ad Sales and Distribution for My Momma Told Me
Wave (Wave Sports & Entertainment), the leader in digital entertainment for next-generation audiences, today announced a partnership to oversee ad sales and distribution for the popular comedy podcast My Momma Told Me. Hosted by comedians Langston Kerman and David Gborie, the series joins Wave’s expanding comedy slate which includes "So True” with Caleb Hearon. As part of his growing partnership with the company, Hearon will serve as executive producer, and the show will live under his “So True” umbrella.
Each week on “My Momma Told Me,” Langston and David dive into the most entertaining, outrageous, and occasionally problematic Black conspiracy theories, joined by comedians and special guests who unpack everything from harmless family folklore to the wild stories passed down by that one uncle everyone knows. Equal parts hilarious, insightful, and unpredictable, the show blends sharp comedy with candid conversations about culture, history, and the myths that shape them. Previous guests include Will Ferrell, Bob the Drag Queen, Janelle James, Lamorne Morris, Zack Fox, KevOnStage, Rico Nasty, and more.
“We here at ‘My Momma Told Me’ could not be more excited to be joining forces with Caleb Hearon under his banner at Wave,” said Langston and David. “Is it a collaboration that makes perfect sense? It is not. But we’re eternally grateful to Caleb and Wave for choosing us all the same. And we look forward to becoming one of those unlikely animal friendships like when a dolphin becomes friends with two really messed up dogs.”
“David and Langston are two of the funniest guys doing it. I’m a massive fan of them both and it’s a privilege to be on their team despite the regressive and disturbing political views they hold in private,” said Caleb Hearon. “I hope we all become problematically rich from this otherwise it will have been a massive waste of time.”
“Langston and David have built a hilarious, distinctive show with a deeply engaged audience, and we’re thrilled to welcome them to Wave as we continue expanding our comedy slate,” said Hannah Kyle Crichton, Executive Producer at Wave. “We’re also excited to deepen our partnership with Caleb, whose exceptional comedic instincts and creative vision make him the ideal partner to lead the show into its next chapter.”
As part of the deal, Wave will oversee advertising sales and distribution across YouTube, podcast platforms, and social channels. Named to Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies of 2026, Wave is the creative force behind some of today’s most viral digital series. With over 6 billion impressions over the last year, the company has pioneered innovative ways for pop culture icons, creators, and sports stars to expand their brands and connect with mainstream audiences through original programming that resonates with next-gen viewers. This partnership furthers Wave’s growth across the comedy space, helping talent to generate long-form, premium content and new business lines.
