UK Wine Show Marks 20 Years of Weekly Podcasting and 850+ Episodes
The UK Wine Show is marking its 20th anniversary this month, making it one of the longest-running independent podcasts in the world.
Launched on 2 June 2006, the show has published more than 850 weekly episodes and began before the launch of the iPhone and Spotify, at a time when podcasting was still an emerging medium.
Produced independently by UK-based wine education company ThirtyFifty, the show has maintained a weekly publishing schedule for two decades while building a global audience across more than 60 countries.
Over the past 90 days, the podcast has seen its largest audiences in the United States (21%), the UK (18.5%), and across Asia (approximately 24% combined across Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam and China).
To mark the anniversary, the show has revisited one of its earliest interviews from 2006 to reflect on how both the wine industry and podcasting landscape have evolved over the past twenty years.
