The Tennis Podcast - Live from Wimbledon
This article is at least a year old
The Tennis Podcast will be streamed Live from Wimbledon each night throughout The Championships in an exciting new partnership with the All England Club.
For the first time, the podcast, which is produced daily at all four Grand Slam tournaments, and weekly year-round by Catherine Whitaker, David Law and Matt Roberts, will also be available to watch live on The Tennis Podcast’s YouTube channel from the Wimbledon Grounds each night.
Starting with a post-draw edition at 6pm UK time on Friday 30 June and then a media-day episode from 4.30pm on Saturday 1 July, The Tennis Podcast team will produce 18 live shows throughout the fortnight, including additional instalments on the morning of each of the Singles Finals. All of the post-draw, media day and nightly live shows will be turned into podcasts for those who prefer to listen as usual.
In collaboration with the All England Club, The Tennis Podcast will cover the full breadth of The Championships but will retain complete editorial freedom to cover on and off-court talking points as it has done for the past 11 years.
“We have always wanted to turn The Tennis Podcast into something that could be watched as well as listened to, so to be able to live-stream the show from Wimbledon, one of the biggest, best and most prestigious tennis tournaments in the world, is a fantastic opportunity,” said co-host, David Law.
“We will have the All England Club as a backdrop, be able to soak up the action on-site as usual, and hopefully welcome one or two guests along the way. Most importantly to us, nothing will change, aside from an additional visual option for those that want to watch the show live rather than wait to listen. We’ll still be reviewing the day, previewing the next day, and talking about what we’ve seen and heard.”
Paul Davies, Head of Broadcast, Production & Media Rights at Wimbledon, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with The Tennis Podcast who have been engaging tennis fans on a global level. The team have created a compelling, entertaining, and informative format, and we are excited to see how they apply their unique style to The Championships.”
About The Tennis Podcast

In July last year, The New York Times wrote that The Tennis Podcast is ’the conscience of the sport’ and ‘how tennis listens to itself’. In the piece, broadcaster Mary Carillo said: ’These guys know their stuff. And they’re funny. You can’t fake funny.’

Time selected The Tennis Podcast as one of the 10 best podcasts of 2022.
