Kast Media launches season two of their original hit true crime series, The Opportunist, available everywhere today.
Season one launched earlier this year to massive critical acclaim. Reaching 1 million downloads within 30 days of release, the narrative story of online cult leader Sherry Shriner was a hit with audiences and critics alike.
The Opportunist tells true stories of regular people who turn sinister by embracing opportunity, showing us that perhaps the most dangerous person is the one who appears the most normal. In season two, the story follows Robert Courtney, a local Kansas City pharmacist who carried out a decades-long fraud that became the FBI’s top priority in 2001 prior to 9/11.
How did a family man, pharmacist, and well-respected member of his community become a cold, calculating criminal? How did this happen and could it happen again? Part one of this four part series drops today.
Kast Media creates podcasts that entertain, inform, and inspire, and is a leader in multi-channel visual podcast shows, with a monthly reach of over 12 million listeners/viewers. As a top 10 network, and one of the only remaining independents in the podcast industry, Kast creates, distributes, and monetizes its shows across both audio and video platforms.
