HowStuffWorks, the legendary podcasting network behind Stuff You Should Know which is the first podcast to pass 500 million downloads, and TeePublic, the on-demand merch platform already used by hundreds of podcasts from How Did This Get Made to The Black Tapes announced a partnership today to connect with their audiences through podcast specific merch.

“Podcasting is an incredible space for new ideas these days, because while those ideas can start out as audio stories, they then take on different shapes later - like books or tv shows or live tours,” said said Conal Byrne, president of HowStuffWorks. “One example is merchandise. We’re working with TeePublic to take a fresh approach for our fans to be able to connect with our shows in a cool new way, now offering dozens of on-demand products for every single show we publish. On-demand merch for an on-demand podcast industry feels like a perfect match for us, especially as we kick off five new tours this fall, including Stuff You Missed in History Class and Stuff They Don’t Want You to Know."

As a part of this content partnership TeePublic and HowStuffWorks will build an industry first collaboration to create new physical product offerings at the same pace as their podcasts. Each HowStuffWorks podcast has set up merch storefronts with fresh designs uploaded on a daily basis.

“We’re excited to give our audiences even more ways to connect to topics they’re passionate about instantaneously,” said Adam Schwartz, Co-founder of TeePublic. “As a part of this partnership TeePublic will host quarterly design contests to get the HowStuffWorks community in on the action.”
