Brisbane QLD, Australia—Australian EdTech Teach Starter is launching a new kids podcast, _Love Learning,_delivering curriculum-aligned audio resources to primary-school-aged kids.
Love Learning episodes will feature audio resources ranging from stories, guided meditation, short lessons, poems, instructional drawing and music lessons. Each episode will include links to downloadable activities to keep the kids entertained for hours after the podcast ends.
Teach Starter co-founder Jill Snape said the shift to families spending more time at home inspired the Teach Starter team to create a new educational podcast for kids.
“Our kids are digital natives, they’re fluent in technology. Love Learning aims to speak their language by delivering engaging, quality, fun and learning through the magic of audio-on-demand, wherever kids are,” said Ms Snape.
Love Learning is hosted by teacher and mum of four, Bronwyn Brady who interviews teachers and special guests including authors, comedians and poets.
“I know that my kids love nothing more than listening to a story or learning a new skill. I hope that Love Learning can bring fun, joy and entertainment to many kids around Australia,” said Ms Brady.
With Australian classrooms preparing to reopen, Love Learning will focus on supporting teachers, parents and students with relevant resources for the transition. Author Julia Cook and comedian Joe Dombrowski will both feature on Love Learning in coming weeks.
Teach Starter’s flagship podcast, For the Love of Teaching, will also provide support to teaching professionals for their return to classroom teaching. Since launching in early 2019, For the Love of Teaching has grown a loyal following of listeners, resulting in a 20% increase in downloads over the past 12 months.
