Tom Raftery’s Digital Supply Chain Podcast Rebrands to Focus on Sustainability
Tom Raftery, thought leader and host of the Digital Supply Chain podcast, has announced a significant rebranding of his acclaimed podcast. Starting January 22nd, 2024, the podcast will be known as the Sustainable Supply Chain podcast, aligning with a growing global emphasis on environmental sustainability.
Launched in 2019, the Digital Supply Chain podcast rapidly became the premier outlet for insights into supply chain digitization, amassing over 111,000 downloads and publishing 95 episodes in 2023 alone. With a shift to a weekly format, the new podcast will delve into sustainable practices, leadership, and innovations transforming supply chains globally.
Tom Raftery, former Global VP for Supply Chain at SAP and a lifelong sustainability advocate, shares, “Typically 90% of a company’s emissions originate from its supply chain. Addressing this substantial segment is both a challenge and a necessity for a sustainable future. This podcast aims to be the go-to resource for enterprises looking to navigate and lead in this vital area.”
The rebrand reflects Tom’s expertise and passion at the intersection of technology and sustainability. “Many organizations are already making strides in sustainability through efficiency and waste reduction, often not realising these are significant sustainability achievements. It’s time to spotlight these efforts and foster a dialogue around them,” adds Raftery.
Listeners can expect the same caliber of thought-provoking content, with a new emphasis on actionable strategies to green their supply chains. The Sustainable Supply Chain podcast will continue to feature industry experts, providing insights into regulatory requirements, sustainability innovations, and best practices.
The podcast will be accessible on the website and across all major podcast platforms, including in video on YouTube.
