Los Angeles CA, USA—Studio71, a Red Arrow Studios company, announced three new podcasts launching this month - Wild Wild Tech, Wild ‘Til 9from LaurDIY, and Preloaded - as well as an exclusive partnership with The Laugh Button Podcasts. The company has seen success in the podcasting realm, especially in the last year, by identifying the white space and then creating and producing innovative content that sits within this space. Across Studio71 podcasts, audio listens are up 256% year-over-year from July 2019 to 2020 and ad revenue has grown 690% year-over-year from May 2019 to 2020. All Studio71 podcasts are available for free on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.

“It’s been an exciting year in podcasting at Studio71 with tremendous growth in audio listens, downloads, and ad revenue,” said Stephen Perlstein, Vice President of Podcasts at Studio71. “As we continue to work with our network of talent and expand into new ventures, we strive to be the best partners for podcasters and brands alike. We’re just scratching the surface of what Studio71 has to offer the podcast world.”

Would you be surprised to learn that scientists are learning how to fight COVID-19 from the video game World of Warcraft? What if I told you that I could spoil almost any movie based on who uses an iPhone? Did you know that Disney is afraid of butts? Well, that’s Wild Wild Tech, the podcast that brings you the wildest, most bizarre, the most interesting stories about tech and how it’s shaping our culture. Wild Wild Tech is hosted by Jordan Erica Webber (The Gadget Show presenter, co-author of Ten Things Video Games Can Teach Us) and Joshua Rivera (freelance journalist covering TV, movies, games, culture) where every week we’ll uncover infamous stories in pop culture and tech and we’ll learn from the experts, and talk to the people who lived through these weird stories. These are the stories about your favorite tech companies that are seldom told, but once you hear them, you’ll never forget. Wild Wild Tech launched Wednesday, August 5.

Wild ‘Til 9 is the next podcast to premiere in the lineup and is set to launch tomorrow, August 11. What do you get when a DIY influencer dates an ex-frat-president tech mogul? Honestly we’re not really sure either, but we’re all about to find out together. Hosted by Lauren Riihimaki (LaurDIY) and boyfriend, Jeremy Lewis, Wild ’Til 9 is about relationships, spotting the red flags and giving the green lights, and the lifestyle in which this polar opposite couple found themselves. Things are about to get wild… but only until 9PM.

Preloaded is the third podcast launching this month and makes its premiere Monday, August 17. It’s the podcast that cuts through the spin of video game marketing to deliver unfiltered, honest coverage of all the upcoming games you should be looking forward to. YouTubers Jackson Van Over aka Jayvee and Josh Finderup aka Quest Mode break down the week’s news, previews, and dive into what they’re currently playing. If you’re not preloaded, you’re missing out.

The Laugh Button Podcasts Partnership
Studio71 has also become the exclusive monetization and distribution partner for The Laugh Button Podcasts. The comedy hub produces podcasts with some of the top comedians in the world including Jim Norton’s The Chip Chipperson Podacast, Robert Kelly’s You Know What Dude, Joe List’s Mindful Metal Jacket, and, their latest installment, Lewis Black’s Rantcast. In Rantcast, Black channels his anger in a way only a man who has devoted his entire life to ranting can do. The tirades are sometimes big. They are sometimes small. But when filtered through the comedic mind of Black in a live environment, they are always hilarious.

“We’re really excited about our partnership with Studio71, it gives The Laugh Button’s podcast arm access to top notch experts in the field and allows us to better support our growing roster of stellar talent,” said Matt Kleinschmidt, Editor-In-Chief of The Laugh Button.

“We’re excited to bring our suite of resources to The Laugh Button Podcasts,” added Perlstein.

This new slate and strategic partnership follows the launch of Bob Saget’s Here for You in April, Waveform: The MKBHD Podcast welcoming Craig Federighi, Apple’s senior vice president of Software Engineering, as a guest in June and making the Top 15 on Apple Podcasts, and 10 of Studio71’s podcasts being featured in the top 100 on Spotify’s new podcast charts.
