New True Crime Podcast 'Stolen Voices of Dole Valley' Tells Unheard Stories of Victims and Survivors
Stolen Voices of Dole Valley, a compelling new true crime podcast, premieres today, August 19, 2025. Produced by Pie In the Sky Media, KSL Podcasts, and Lemonada Media, the series is hosted by journalist Carolyn Ossorio and delves into the chilling story of a serial killer who terrorized young women in the Pacific Northwest during the 1970s. Hitchhiking, once a common rite of passage for teens, became a deadly activity as this predator abducted, tortured, and murdered his victims. Though some survivors escaped, many of the crimes went underreported and unresolved.
Stolen Voices of Dole Valley is a 9-part podcast that shines a light on the stories of the survivors and the grieving families who continue to fight for justice. It’s a powerful testament to their strength and determination to ensure their loved ones are never forgotten.
Ossorio brings a deep personal connection to the series. In her previous podcast, The Shadow Girls, Ossorio explored her own experience as a child survivor of a violent assault, a case that was never fully investigated. Her drive to tell these stories comes from her own painful understanding of being silenced. “These victims were dismissed as ‘bad girls,’ but they were victims of a serial killer. They, too, were silenced by a system that didn’t prioritize their voices,” says Ossorio. “Through this podcast, I want to give them the voice they never had.”
Tanya Vea, President and Chief Operating Officer of Bonneville International, commented on the importance of Stolen Voices of Dole Valley: “This podcast amplifies voices that have long been overlooked. By sharing these stories, we are helping to raise awareness of the victims’ experiences and the ongoing fight for justice. We are proud to use our platform to help distribute these important stories.”
“This podcast is more than a true crime story, as it gives a voice to the victims who were silenced and shines a light on their lives and the injustices they endured,” added Jessica Cordova Kramer, CEO of Lemonada Media. “From the moment we heard about Stolen Voices of Dole Valley, we knew it was a story that needed to be told, and partnering with KSL and Pie In the Sky Media to share this series has been an absolute privilege.”
KSL Podcasts, which has surpassed 100 million downloads and is known for its award-winning series like COLD, Ransom, Uinta Triangle, and The Letter, continues to deliver groundbreaking, investigative content. Stolen Voices of Dole Valley adds another powerful entry to the network’s growing catalog of true crime podcasts.
