New York City NY, USA‐Podcast industry leader Stitcher is teaming up with some of the biggest names in television and entertainment to bring a slate of new and returning shows to its Earwolf and Stitcher Originals networks in 2019.

Earwolf – “one of the most successful producers of comedy podcasts in the business” (Los Angeles Times) and home to “Comedy Bang! Bang!,” “Getting Curious with Jonathan Van Ness” and “Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend” – launches its first improvised narrative podcast, “Voyage to the Stars,” about a group of misfits trying to return home without blowing up the galaxy; and partners with comedian Beth Stelling for “We Called Your Mom,” a weekly interview podcast series featuring Stelling and her mom interviewing mothers of beloved artists and comedians. The network also brings back writer, actor and comedian Mike Hanford’s life advice show “Questions for Lennon” for a new season.

Three of the most popular Stitcher Originals shows return with new episodes in 2019:

  • Season two of Stitcher’s groundbreaking collaboration with Marvel, “Wolverine: The Lost Trail,” follows the titular character as he tries to find his missing ex-lover.
  • Season three of the documentary podcast “First Day Back” tells the story of Jason Weems, a comedian who is attempting to turn a near-death experience onstage into comedy.
  • “Levar Burton Reads” returns for a fourth season with a new collection of stories.

Multiple Stitcher Originals shows earned 2018 year-end best of accolades, including “Marvel’s Wolverine: The Long Night” (Forbes, The Verge), “The Dream” (Vulture, The Atlantic, AV Club, Huff Post), “Sold in America” (The Atlantic), “Dear Franklin Jones” (UPROXX, The Globe and Mail, Thrillist) and more.

The network begins the new year with “Josie & Jonny Are Having a Baby (With You!),” which follows comedians and expectant parents Josie Long and Jonny Donahoe as they seek answers to the parenting questions that keep them up at night.

Allison Raskin, New York Times best-selling author, actress, director and creator of the Stitcher Originals podcast “Gossip,” builds her Stitcher catalog with the release of “Just Between Us.” Adapted from the hit YouTube series created by Raskin and TV writer, actor and New York Times best-selling author Gaby Dunn, the series stars the co-dependent best friends attempting to solve listeners’ problems and dive deep on difficult topics like failure, mental health, body image and more.

Joining the Stitcher Originals network for new episodes are Dunn’s “Bad With Money,” which returns for a third season of impractical financial advice, and Jolenta Greenberg and Kristen Meinzer’s reality show-meets-self-help podcast, “By the Book.” Both shows come to Stitcher from Panoply.
