Stitcher Premium and comedy podcast network Forever Dog partner to unveil new shows via binge-friendly distribution model
This article is at least a year old
NEW YORK NY, USA—Top podcasting network Stitcher and comedy podcast leader Forever Dog have partnered to offer a binge-worthy slate of content to Stitcher Premium subscribers, with exclusive early access to Forever Dog’s recently announced Q4 podcasts. Shows will debut on the platform throughout November and December, ad-free and in multi-episode sets (rather than via the traditional weekly model).
New episodes of popular Forever Dog podcasts Conference Call, F**k Hut Music School for Teens, A Woman’s Smile and Race Chaser: The United Kingdom and Ireland Tour will be available on Stitcher Premium prior to any other platform.
First in the queue is Conference Call, from Charles Rogers and Sarah-Violet Bliss (creators of TBS’s Search Party), Abby Elliot, Bridey Elliot, Jordan Firstman, Kelly Hudson and Dan Klein. The show’s eight episodes are now available on Stitcher Premium – currently the only platform where listeners can stream the entire series.
“Stitcher Premium is built on the idea of giving the most engaged, passionate podcast fans the opportunity to connect more deeply with the shows and networks they love” said Stitcher CEO Erik Diehn. “Because Forever Dog’s unique voice resonates so well with a growing audience of comedy listeners, they’re a perfect fit for what we’re building.”
“First and foremost, we’ve always been about satisfying listener appetites, which means constantly exploring new approaches to content and distribution,” added Forever Dog CEO Gary Reisman. “This partnership with Stitcher is the perfect opportunity to do that, with these ‘binge-worthy’ shows from our Q4 slate – including two narrative series – that we’re all extremely proud of and that feature an impeccable roster of comedy talent.”
