Stitcher announces slate of new and returning shows on its Stitcher Originals and Earwolf networks this fall

New York NY, USA—Podcast industry leader Stitcher continues to grow its talent roster as it partners with rising and well-established names in entertainment to bring a slate of new and returning shows to its Earwolf and Stitcher Originals networks this fall.

Joining the Earwolf network is actress and I Weigh founder Jameela Jamil (NBC’s “The Good Place”), with “What Do You Weigh?,” where she is joined by guest comedians, writers and performers to find out what they weigh – the experiences, qualities and beliefs that define them; on “Urgent Care,” actor and comedian Joel Kim Oster (NBC’s “Sunnyside”) and writer Mitra Jouhari (HBO’s “High Maintenance,” Netflix’s “Big Mouth”), both self-proclaimed lifestyle gurus, dispense completely unqualified advice to people who seemingly have nowhere else to turn; and on “Scam Goddess,” Laci Mosley (Pop TV’s “Florida Girls”) breaks down some of the world’s oldest and most popular scams with weekly special guests.

At the Stitcher Originals network, actor and comedian Aasif Mandvi (Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show”) launches his show “Lost at the Smithsonian,” exploring the little-known stories of iconic collectibles at the National Museum of American History; and a new show from Kristen Meinzer and Jolenta Greenberg (Stitcher’s “By the Book”) called “We Love You and So Can You,” finds the hosts drawing on their extensive knowledge of self-help to provide a prescription of wellness practices, creative activities, media consumption and more.

Also coming to the Stitcher Originals network are two shows that explore unknown true crime stories: “Verified,”investigates the potential dangers of the sharing economy through the lens of a policeman turned sexual predator and the international group of women on a mission to stop him; and “Mob Queens” examines the life of Anna Genovese, a New York drag club maven, self-styled entrepreneur and mob wife.

Stitcher Originals also brings news seasons of its most beloved shows, including “The Dream,” back once again to expose a scheme so pervasive and insidious it could kill you, if it doesn’t save your life first; “LeVar Burton Reads,” returning for a fifth season with a new collection of stories; husband and wife duo Devale and Khadeen Ellis, whose “Dead Ass” finds them speaking candidly about relationships, parenting and work-life balance; and Bill Nye, who along with co-host Corey S. Powell and guests, answers listeners’ science-related call-in questions on “Science Rules!.”
