The Soundwave Summit 2026 - A Day of Podcasting Strategy, Community, and Growth
The Soundwave Summit 2026 (TSS) is back for its third year, bringing Canada’s indie podcasting community together on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Harbourfront Centre in Toronto for a full day focused on the future of podcasting.
Created for podcasters, producers, editors, audio or video entrepreneurs, and creative teams building in the independent space, the Soundwave Summit is designed to help attendees move beyond isolated creation and into real community, practical strategy, and sustainable growth. This year’s summit will focus on the issues shaping podcasting right now: monetization, video, AI, audience growth, and community-building.
TSS is being curated by key community partners across Canadian audio and media, including:
“Podcasting can feel like a solo sport, but it doesn’t have to be,” said the Soundwave Summit team in the event’s official announcement. “This is a day built for people who want to learn, connect, and build something real with others who understand the work.”

- The video shift, with practical ways to use video without needing a large crew or high-budget setup
- AI tools for creators, focused on efficiency in editing, transcription, and production support without losing creative voice
- Growth and community-building, with strategies for turning listeners into loyal supporters and long-term audiences

A gathering built for Canada’s indie podcasting scene
More than a conference, Soundwave Summit has become a meeting point for Canada’s independent audio community. With creators often building in separate cities, niches, and networks, the summit offers a rare chance to connect in person, trade ideas, build relationships, and leave with practical next steps.
The event will take place at Harbourfront Centre, 235 Queens Quay W., Toronto, with an evening networking mixer to follow at Boxcar Social.
