Simplify podcast becomes independently owned
After 94 episodes and 4 million downloads since launching in 2017, the Simplify podcast is now independently owned.
The podcast was bought by its co-hosts Caitlin Schiller and Ben Schuman-Stoler, from its previous owners Blinkist. It is a podcast for anyone who’s taken a close look at their habits, their happiness, their relationships, or their health and thought, “There’s got to be a better way to do this.”
The show will continue the non-fiction author interviews that established it as a Webby Award-nominated show with a loyal following who appreciate the helpful, curious, personal style of their interviews “only now we get to choose the themes and guests and books without worrying about audience/customer overlaps”, Ben Schuman-Stoler told Podnews.
The show will publish every other week on Mondays. The first new episode is with Elinor Cleghorn, author of Unwell Women.
Simplify is now also part of the Kollo Media fold in Berlin, and becomes the flagship show on the label. Kollo Media also produces audiobooks and podcast shows and documentaries; it has a studio based within Chapters Bookshop, where Simplify will be hosting events with authors, agents, publishers, and booksellers throughout 2026.
