Shagged.Married.Annoyed. launches bonus content and exclusive benefits for fans with Acast+

Press Release · London, UK ·

Sh**ged Married Annoyed — the number one podcast from Chris and Rosie Ramsey — and Acast, the world’s largest independent podcast company, have released details of the bonus content and extra episodes that fans can unlock through new Acast+ subscription tiers.

By opening up access to ‘Lucrative Sponsors’, fans of the podcast can now support Chris and Rosie directly, and receive ad-free episodes in return. ‘Lucrative, Lucrative Sponsors’ get exclusive bonus content in addition.

The two tiers are a play on the podcast’s long-running in-joke, where Chris mentions each episode is supported by a “lucrative sponsor” — usually a faceless object or concept, such as “water”, “sitting down”, “staying in”, “swings” or “the mugs you give the builders”, to name a few.

Fans can sign up to Shagged.Married.Annoyed.+ now, and their subscriber benefits will be available across any supported listening app of their choice — including Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Overcast, Pocket Casts, and tonnes of other platforms.

The options for Shagged.Married.Annoyed.+ subscribers will include:

  • Lucrative Sponsors (£3.00/month): Access to ad-free episodes past, present and future. Future episodes are free of all sponsorship, but recent episodes and some collections may have limited brand mentions.

  • Lucrative, Lucrative Sponsors (£3.50/month): Ad-free episodes, plus weekly bonus content in the form of an exclusive episode entitled ‘Extra, Extra’. Each week, Chris and Rosie will play a game discussing newspaper headlines, where Rosie will try to tell the difference between the real bizarre news story from the (possibly even more bizarre) ones that come out of Chris’s brain. Produced by Avalon — which also represents Chris and Rosie — Shagged.Married.Annoyed. is one of the UK’s biggest podcasts. Earlier this year the show committed to continue as part of the Acast Creator Network, with Acast hosting, distributing, monetizing and growing it globally.

Now with 175 episodes under its belt, more than 125 million downloads, a critically acclaimed and immediately recommissioned BBC TV show, record-breaking live shows and a number-one bestselling book, the podcast is a national phenomenon. By adding an Acast+ subscription, Chris and Rosie will be able to reward supporters and fans with even more content.

Chris and Rosie said: “It’s about time we rewarded our beloved ‘SMAs and DAs’ with some exclusive Ramsey content they won’t hear anywhere else. We had such a laugh recording the first bonus episodes and it’s actually quite worrying how difficult it is to tell the real news from the ridiculous stuff made up. Having the support of our listeners means the world to us and we can’t wait to reward all our Lucrative Sponsors.”

Sam Shetabi, UK Director of Acast Creator Network, said: “Chris and Rosie continue to deliver some of the funniest, must-listen moments in podcasting — it’s been so much fun to help them deliver this extra content and unlock new revenue from paying listeners. We know this is just the start, and their Acast+ feed will help them forge even deeper connections with their fans. ”

Listeners can subscribe to Shagged.Married.Annoyed.+, and access ad-free episodes now on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Overcast, Pocket Casts, or wherever they get their podcasts. The first of the show’s bonus content is also out now.

Podcasters looking to set up their own Acast+ subscription can do so here.
