Albacete to host ¿Se me escucha? (Can You Hear Me?), its first National Podcast Festival

Press Release · Albacete, Spain ·

On Saturday, November 7, Teatro Circo in Albacete will host the first edition of “¿Se me escucha?”, the city’s first National Podcast Festival.

The event, organized by marketing agency Nuteco and production company Yes We Cast with the support of the Albacete City Council, will bring together in a single day some of Spain’s most-listened-to podcasts alongside the leading audio projects born in the city itself.

Teatro Circo’s main stage will feature Álex Clavero —a comedian known for the “Francotirarock” segment on Rock FM— and Raquel Piqueras, a Rock FM presenter born in Albacete; Terrores Nocturnos, one of Spain’s most-listened-to true crime podcasts, hosted by Emma Entrena and Silvia Ortiz; La Escóbula de la Brújula, one of Spain’s most-followed history podcasts; and Concepto Sentido, the leading Albacete-based podcast in the city.

At the same time, Teatro Circo’s Sala Pepe Isbert will host a second, free-access stage, where audiences can enjoy Casus Belli and El Abrazo del Oso, alongside a selection of local podcasts: Travesura Realizada, Cerveceando Podcast, El Sótano de Marty & Doc and Made In Albacete.

“We want the whole program to include a space that’s open to everyone in Albacete, where people can drop by, look around and watch for free. In fact, roughly half or more of the program will be free to watch at the Sala Pepe Isbert in Teatro Circo.” — Javi Sánchez Munera, co-director of ¿Se me escucha?

“¿Se me escucha?” is Albacete’s first national podcasting festival, born with the aim of turning the city into a meeting point for fans of the format and for the audio industry itself.

“Albacete is a city with a lot of cultural activity, already home to film, music and circus festivals among other events, and it now has the opportunity to establish itself as one of the driving hubs of the podcast scene at a national level.” — Fran Izuzquiza, co-director of ¿Se me escucha?

The festival will be presented to the public on Tuesday, September 22, at 12:00 PM at the Castilla-La Mancha Tourism Promotion Office in Madrid, located at Calle Gran Vía, 45.
