Sarah van Mosel rejoins SiriusXM as part of a number of leadership changes
SiriusXM announced several changes to the podcast leadership team, including the appointment of industry-veteran Sarah van Mosel to the newly-created position of SVP, Podcast Strategy. This is a return to the SiriusXM organization for Sarah, who previously served as Chief Revenue Office at its subsidiary Stitcher.
This is a part of an internal memo sent by Scott Greenstein, SiriusXM’s President and Chief Content Officer:
Hi Everyone,
As podcasting continues to be a major driver of growth in our overall business, we are organizing the best team in the industry to power our next chapter. You’ve seen us make big moves, most recently with the SmartLess deal, and as we evolve our position within this part of the audio industry, we are both expanding our team and allowing the leaders we already have in-house to hyperfocus on their areas of expertise. With this as the backdrop, I’m pleased to unveil the new SiriusXM podcast leadership team.
A major area of focus is expanding our relationships with top podcasts as we look to grow both our exclusive content portfolio and support our successful advertising business. To help us achieve our goals, we decided to bring in an expert to champion SiriusXM in the marketplace. I am thrilled to welcome Sarah van Mosel back to SiriusXM in a new role as Senior Vice President of Podcast Strategy, reporting directly to me. In this role, Sarah will develop a targeted podcast acquisition strategy as well as source and attract up and coming new talent to the SiriusXM Podcast Network.
Working with Sarah will be Adam Sachs. Adam is one of the brightest minds in podcast programming, with a keen ear for talent and an unparalleled understanding of what will make a good podcast great. And so, as we continue to hone our podcast lineup, Adam will focus his energies in this area leading podcast production and development at SiriusXM as the Senior Vice President of Podcast Content, reporting into Sarah. Colin Anderson will continue to report to Adam, making an all-star podcast production team.
Best,
Scott
