Rhapsody Voices partners with KSL Podcasts, launches show
KSL Podcasts and Rhapsody Voices are partnering to release Unsolved Histories, a unique always-on series that explores unsolved mysteries of American history. In Season One, the first eight episodes of Unsolved Histories explore the strange disappearance of Flight 293 above the Pacific Ocean near Alaska with 101 people on board. In an exclusive agreement, Rhapsody Voices will handle ad-sales, promotion, and distribution of the series.
KSL Podcasts is well-known in the space as producers of some of the biggest podcasts to be released in recent years. Cold, The Letter, and Ransom are just a few examples of the chart-topping, and award-winning successes they release year after year.
Host and writer Feliks Banel is a historian, Emmy-winning producer and reporter and is a popular speaker on the history of the Pacific Northwest. Feliks has served as deputy director of the Museum of History & Industry in Seattle, and as editor of Columbia, the magazine of the Washington State Historical Society.
“In Rhapsody Voices, we have found a partner who understands how unique the KSL Podcasts audience is. Like others, our listeners enjoy a good mystery, but they also want to better themselves and society by exploring the deeper meanings behind these stories,” says Sheryl Worsley, Vice President of Podcasts at KSL, about the choice to partner with Rhapsody Voices.
The show will receive promotion across award-winning KSL shows, and Rhapsody Voices’ slate of shows and trade media. With KSL’s track record of releasing top-10 hits right out of the gate, this is expected to be a strong debut. This is not the first of its kind for Rhapsody either, as they announced their partnership with Lindsay Graham’s Airship earlier this year, launching American Criminal, which has exceeded over 1 million downloads within a few months of launch.
“We are excited to be a part of compelling content that brings a variety of elements for the listener. The show is a cross-section of suspense, mystery, history, and in some cases, true crime, as we build the Unsolved Histories franchise,” says Jensen about launching narrative-style podcasts in addition to his extensive talk catalog.
Rhapsody Voices was founded by a team of digital natives with deep experience at top podcasting networks. The company is focused and committed to creating win-win opportunities in the podcasting marketplace - zealously representing shows while staying committed to identifying and developing strong advertising and sponsorship opportunities that produce results for agencies and brands.
Unsolved Histories will launch on October 1st.
