Rebel Audio appoints top creator platform executives
Rebel Audio, the AI-powered podcasting platform designed to radically simplify how podcasts are created, produced, and scaled, today announced a series of key executive hires as the company scales from public beta to full public launch. Randeep Bhatia (previously CTO of Splash Music, Sr. Director of Audible, Head of Engineering at Twitch) joins the company as Chief Technology Officer, Patrice Choghi, (previously Amazon MGM Studios’ SVP, Global Formats & Unscripted Content), joins as Chief Operating Officer, and Prabh Guhman (previously VP of Engineering @ Splash Music and Lead Engineer at Twitch & Yahoo!) as the Principal Tech Lead.
“We’re not waiting for the future of media. We’re building it in real time, and in the age of AI that timeline changes daily,” said Jared Gutstadt, Founder and CEO of Rebel Audio. "That takes a different kind of leadership. You need technologists who move fast and operators who make speed sustainable. Randeep, Patrice and Prabh have done that within multiple Amazon properties, and now they’re bringing their playbooks to Rebel.”
Bhatia joins Rebel Audio as CTO with more than 20 years inside Amazon where he built platforms at scale across two of the company’s most creator-driven properties, including music integration into Twitch and Audible. At Rebel Audio, Bhatia will lead operations across product and technology.
“I have spent my career on both halves of this problem: the infrastructure that delivers audio at scale, at Audible and at Twitch, and the AI that generates it, including a music foundation model I trained from scratch. Rebel Audio is where those two meet,” said Randeep Bhatia, Rebel Audio CTO. “We are going to give every creator the production capability that used to require a studio, a team and a budget.”
Choghi is Rebel Audio’s COO, overseeing company operations, business strategy, and commercial partnerships. Across two decades at Amazon MGM Studios, Televisa, United Artists, and Mark Burnett Productions, he has built global business units from the ground up spanning production, distribution, and business strategy, most recently founding and running Amazon MGM Studios’ Global Formats and Unscripted Content division, which put more than 50 series into 120+ countries.
The creator economy has radically transformed the entertainment ecosystem, and Rebel is building the bridge between creators and Hollywood," said Patrice Choghi, COO of Rebel Audio. “Our podcast operating system streamlines everything creators need to create, publish, and monetize at global scale. I’m excited to be building with such a forward-thinking team as we evolve toward the future of entertainment.”
Rebel Audio launched with a $4.15M oversubscribed seed round, backed by a strategic investor network including Julie Gauthier, Benjamin Lurie, Jonathan Schulman, Launch Tennessee and Market Square Ventures, with Mark Burnett (Survivor, Shark Tank, The Voice) serving as an advisor and Mike “Big Mike” Majlak, veteran podcaster and co-host of Impaulsive, as Chief Creator in Residence.
Rebel Audio is designed for the full creator spectrum, for everyone from first-time podcasters to established media brands. Pricing begins with a free seven-day trial, with paid plans from $15/month (Starter), to $35/month (Creator), to $70/month (Studio, including voice cloning and translation) and custom enterprise pricing for high-volume creators and brands.
