Random Order Podcast joins Acast for global distribution and monetization

Random Order Podcast, 4YE Media’s hit comedy podcast, has joined Acast, the world’s leading independent podcast company. Acast will promote and distribute the show across all podcast platforms and will enable it to support advanced advertising and sponsorship capabilities.
Co-hosted by brothers Jermaine “Jae” and Trevaunn “Trey” Richards alongside Sheldon Sabastian, the celebrated comedy talk show has run since January 2019 and features commentary from the Toronto natives on pop culture, past experiences, and everyday life in a free-flowing format that feels like a candid hangout.
Its launch offered a new outlet for Jae and Trey, who’ve developed a loyal fanbase over the past ten years by creating stand-out content on social media. The two have amassed more than 100 million lifetime views across their YouTube channels alone, and have garnered praise from entertainers including Kevin Hart and Drake. Random Order Podcast will celebrate its 100th episode in the coming weeks.
Under the new partnership, Acast will further grow and develop Random Order Podcast’s footprint across markets and will distribute it widely across the open podcast ecosystem, allowing listeners to continue to access the show on whichever podcast platform they choose.
“We realized the potential of podcasting and our show specifically. We were confident in our content and just needed a supportive partner to help facilitate our podcasting needs, reach new people, and develop new revenue streams for Random Order Podcast. We knew this partner was Acast,” said Jae.
Acast will also manage the monetization of the podcast, giving brands access to its massive, hyper-engaged fanbase through ads, sponsorships, and sophisticated brand integrations. Through Acast’s vast network of podcasts and robust ad marketplace, the company enables podcasters and advertisers alike to reach large audiences at scale.
“At Acast, we look for partners who bring a compelling new perspective to the world of audio — and on Random Order Podcast, Jae, Trey, and Sheldon do just that by bringing Toronto culture and lifestyle to the world. These prolific creators have made a name for themselves by setting the conversation on comedy and culture and resonating with young listeners in Canada, the US, and beyond — all by bringing their authentic selves to the show,” said Narisa Ladak, Senior Content Development Manager at Acast. “We look forward to bringing new audiences to their work, on every podcast platform there is.”
Jae and Trey Richards are represented by talent management company Odd Projects.
