New York NY, USA—Cadence13, the leader in premium, on-demand audio, today launched a new podcast, “Politics As Unusual,” hosted by esteemed Washington DC media coach Michael Sheehan—a man who has been on the speed dial of Presidents, CEO’s and leading personalities for more than 30 years. The weekly interview series offers an entertaining intermission, a captivating respite from today’s intense, often polarizing news cycle while still touching on everyone’s favorite topic du jour, politics.

The first of nine episodes for Season One kicks off with Sheehan talking to international comedy star, Eddie Izzard wondering, historically speaking, how bad is it out there?’ (yes, it’s hilarious as well as informative). In another episode, Barry Blaustein, former SNL writer and screenwriter for blockbuster movies, including Eddie Murphy’s “Coming to America” and “The Nutty Professor” shares what political candidates may be able to learn from professional wrestlers. And Sheehan also uncovers what the founder and CEO of Chobani, Hamdi Ulukaya, a yogurt maker, can teach policymakers. Episode one of “Politics As Unusual” is available to subscribe and listen to free now through Apple Podcasts https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/politics-as-unusual/id1434567001?mt=2 . The series is also available on Spotify, Google Podcasts, and many other podcast distribution outlets.

“With breaking news breaks into breaking news, it’s getting exhausting. There’s a place for an entertaining ‘seventh-inning stretch’ in the 24/7 news cycle, for a bit of interesting whimsy. I think of it as politics, policy and people through Alice’s Looking Glass,’ says Michael Sheehan.
