Politicon and 'Politics War Room' form new partnership
PRESS RELEASE —
Los Angeles CA, USA—Politicon -- the annual bipartisan “Unconventional Political Convention” -- this week announced a new partnership with the podcast Politics War Room with James Carville and Al Hunt. The podcast features Democratic political strategist James Carville and journalist Al Hunt convening a war room each week to discuss the battle for the election and beyond.
Carville, who served as the lead campaign strategist to successfully elect President Bill Clinton in 1992, and Hunt, former Washington editor of Bloomberg News, gather the sharpest minds from across the country to see who has the most compelling case for the American people on the issues that matter most. With 4.8 stars on Apple iTunes and over 1000 reviews, the podcast to date has interviewed Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Madeleine Albright, Sen. Cory Booker, former Sen. Jeff Flake and Majority Whip James Clyburn.
“We are excited to partner with these two brillant minds to lift the curtain on politics in the lead up to and the aftermath of this most important election,” said Simon Sidi. “The ‘Ragin Cajun’ is an American original and Al Hunt has been a force of nature in Washington for decades and I couldn’t think of a better duo to bring politics to life.”
“I’ve been doing Politicon every year since they launched and I love their ability to bring together a wild mash up of people from all political spectrums,” said James Carville. “While of course we all wish we could be having our lively conversations about this election year in person, partnering with Politicon on my podcast is the next best thing.”
This is the latest podcast now produced by Politicon. In March they launched “How The Heck Are We Gonna Get Along!”, hosted by American Idol runner-up and former Congressional candidate from North Carolina Clay Aiken. As part of this new partnership, Politicon will be producing the podcast, working on the talent bookings, marketing, social media and sponsorships.
Politicon is the annual, non-partisan “Unconventional Political Convention” that brings Republicans, Democrats, and people of all political stripes together to banter and spar over the most topical issues in smart and entertaining ways that often poke fun at both sides of the aisle. Launched in 2015, attendees have the opportunity to enjoy a full weekend of debates and panels, radio and TV broadcasts, podcasts, Q&A’s, comedy shows, book signings, interviews and meet-and-greets. With rooms ranging from 50-seaters to large-scale auditoriums, attendees can get up close and personal with political heavyweights, revel in the endless humor, dissect documentaries and parodies with filmmakers, and possibly even interact with a few of history’s greatest leaders.
