PodUK goes digital

From the team bringing you the UK’s fandom-focused podcasting convention comes PODUK GOES DIGITAL, the PodUK team’s answer to self-isolation and staying at home! It’s taking place on May 30th 2020, 1pm – 8pm BST!

FEATURING MISSION TO ZYXX, POTTERLESS, TIN CAN AUDIO, with lots more to be announced!

PodUK Goes Digital will be a free-to-attend virtual convention; the best of in-person PodUK events stripped down to suit a virtual environment. Live shows, panels, interviews, workshops and more, all hosted on Twitch & Discord. Not only that, but PodUK Goes Digital will be host to a fundraiser for the Birmingham Community Health Care charity as a means to helping them as they work hard to fight against COVID-19.

Event manager Jess Anson says on the inception of PodUK Goes Digital:

“We want to help bring a little joy to people’s lives as we all help to flatten the curve, and so we’re turning PodUK digital! We want to help bring together the community in this time of uncertainty, and provide people with entertainment from their favourite creators. We’re excited to be able to take PodUK and bring it to a global audience in this way.

We will also be fundraising for Birmingham Community Health Care charity, an NHS charity we worked with for PodUK 2020 earlier this year. They work to provide the ‘extras’ for staff and patients that are not covered by core NHS funds, such as items, projects, activities, research and training courses. We’re grateful to be able to use our platform as a means to

helping others where we can during this pandemic, and look forward to collaborating with BCHC charity once again.”
