Rocksalt Events today announced their new podcasting convention PodUK, a one-day celebration of UK podcasting geared towards the amazing fan communities that podcasting has created. PodUK will feature a host of brilliant British podcasters (to be announced), and will feature panels, live recordings, meet n’ greets, workshops, fan meets and more.

Rocksalt’s event manager, Jess Anson, has a great love for creating fan events, and has in fact spent the past year hosting meetups for podcasting fans.

“It seemed only logical to move those meet-ups on to something bigger. Podcasting fosters communities, and we want to help bring those communities together. After all, the UK has events celebrating the fan communities around Youtube, around TV shows, around movies, but this is the first event in this country to celebrate the podcasting fan communities. It’s something that deserves celebrating!”

Though fans are at the centre of PodUK, it will also cater towards aspiring podcasters, with ‘how-to’ workshops and networking sessions, amongst other fun activities!

PodUK will take place on the 2nd February 2019 in Birmingham, and will be hosted by the unique Millennium Point venue right around the corner from Birmingham New Street. Tickets are available to buy from £15 using this link. For all information, including upcoming guest announcements, you can go to www.podcastconvention.uk, or @podukcon on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
