Audacy announced the launch of “Podsauce,” a new multiplatform podcast discovery show that will cover the world of podcasting to help consumers find new series and can’t-miss episodes.
Starring Dax Holt and Alesha Reneé, the one-hour show will go beyond simple recommendations and will give viewers and listeners the inside scoop on new podcasts from the genre’s top talent and discover hidden gems they might otherwise have missed out on. Every week, Holt and Reneé will speak with podcast creators, bringing audiences closer to the celebrities, talent, and producers behind the podcasts, including Kenny Mayne, former ESPN host; Shayna Ferm and Tracey Tee, hosts of The Band of Mothers Podcast; Max Linsky, creator and host of 70 Over 70; Nina Gilden Seavey, host of My Fugitive; Courtney Armstrong, Stephanie Lydecker and Jeff Shane, hosts of The Piketon Massacre; Trey Wingo, former ESPN Host and current host of Trey Wingo Presents: Half-Forgotten History, and many more.
“With over two million active podcasts and nearly 50 million episodes worldwide, finding a podcast to listen to can be overwhelming. That’s where Podsauce comes in,” said Pam Russo, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Digital, Audacy. “Through Alesha and Dax’s passion for this exploding medium, coupled with in-depth conversations with the people behind the content, ‘Podsauce’ will give consumers a taste of top shows – both in our portfolio and beyond – and spotlight the very best in the world of podcasting.”
“Podsauce” will air in both audio and video formats beginning July 29. The show will be available via Podsauce.com, as well as YouTube, Twitter and Facebook. Episodes can also be found on the Audacy app and anywhere podcasts are available. Select soundbites of the show – titled the “Podsauce Minute” – will also be heard across Audacy’s portfolio of 235 broadcast stations.
During his 11 years at TMZ, Dax Holt quickly became one of the most recognizable faces of Warner Brothers’ hit daily entertainment show. Holt is now the host of the Hollywood Raw podcast and has appeared on various other programs such as “Access Hollywood,” “The Talk,” “Dish Nation,” and “Live! with Kelly.”
Alesha Reneé has appeared on “Girl Code,” “Guy Code,” “E!
