Europe’s fastest-growing podcast and audiobook subscription service Podimo welcomes Malvina Goldfeld to the company as Chief Product Officer, as well as Johann Querné, who has joined as VP of Growth.

Goldfeld is a product and business leader with over 15 years of experience crafting strategy and building products, programs and teams at Meta and PayPal. She has focused her career on providing people around the world with access to technology, education and financial tools. As Chief Product Officer for Podimo, Goldfeld will lead Podimo’s product vision, strategy and execution, and will be based out of Barcelona.

“In the current culture of communication, a lot of conversation is often so polarized or superficial that people don’t have the ability to go deeper,” says Goldfeld. “Through audio, we’re given a longer attention span to develop an understanding of the world around us. Podimo can play a huge role in the audio format to bring more thoughtful conversation, critical thinking, and a more human angle across different perspectives as we live more and more of our lives online. The product should facilitate discovery of excellent content, foster community, and enable our listeners to experience meaningful moments. We are building a product with global ambitions, but which also resonates deeply with local voices, listeners, and culture, which is one of Podimo’s key strengths.”

“We are very excited to announce the addition of Malvina Goldfeld to the team,” says CEO and Founder Morten Strunge. “We are betting big on innovating spoken word audio - not just in how listeners discover or engage with content, but evolving the format itself and finding creative ways to unlock new experiences for our listeners. With Malvina joining, we can tighten our product vision and accelerate our release plans.” Johann Querné has also joined the company as VP of Growth. Querné, a former Twitter, Uber and Lazada/Alibaba executive, specializes in Growth Marketing, Marketing Technology, Analytics, and Product Management, and will be based out of London, leading Podimo’s Growth and eCommerce teams.

“I like to live and breathe the product I’m working on, and Podimo is doing some really exciting things in the audio space. I’m passionate about elevating businesses at this level, working holistically across the org, and leveraging technology to solve users’ needs,” says Querné. “I also love the team, and we share the same vision and values when it comes to creating a best-in-class user experience for our creators and listeners around the world.”

Querné has 15+ years of experience in Growth Marketing Executive and Product, specializing in helping businesses to achieve hypergrowth volume by leveraging a unique in-depth knowledge of digital marketing and implementing cutting-edge technologies. Most recently, he was Global Growth Marketing Director at Twitter in San Francisco and then London, in charge of re-building and scaling the Global Growth Marketing team. Prior to that he was Marketing Director of Growth and Digital for Uber and UberEats Asia-Pacific based out of Singapore, later becoming Head of Product and Marketing Technology at Grab after their merger with Uber. Querné also had a stint as VP of Marketing, then VP of Monetisation at Lazada Alibaba Group.

“This is an exciting time in Podimo’s journey, and we look forward to bringing Johann’s wealth of experience around the world to the team,“ says Strunge. “We want the global team to be closer to the markets to ensure that learnings are being enhanced, tested and made scalable as we grow, and we are confident Johann can help us achieve this and prepare Podimo for further market expansion.”
