Podgagement completes migration of 6 years of podcast charts and rankings
After months of intense computing, Podgagement’s 6 years of hourly podcast charts and rankings are now available, making Podgagement the most detailed charts and rankings provider to replace Spotify’s retired Chartable.
Podgagement (at Podgagement.com) now gives podcasters an unrivaled view of their podcast rankings across nearly 34,000 global podcast charts in Apple Podcasts and Spotify, with options for viewing weekly and daily average ranking or even as detailed as hourly movements.
“We’ve been recording the charts and rankings every hour since early 2019,” says Podgagement creator Daniel J. Lewis. “It took a few months to convert and optimize our trillions of records, but I’m thrilled to finally have this available for podcasters! Now, with six years of data at their fingertips, podcasters can build strategies and track their success beyond merely download metrics.”
What makes up the 34,000 charts? It’s every local catalog Apple Podcasts and Spotify offer multiplied by every genre, and then often multiplied by several chart types, including “Top Podcasts” and featured areas such as “What’s Hot” and “New & Noteworthy.”
“Podgagement isn’t just for tracking rankings, either!” Lewis added, “While podcasters already use hosting providers to measure reach and audience size, Podgagement helps to measure and increase the depth of the relationships and engagements with the audience.” The online software also aggregates podcast ratings and reviews from nearly 200 places, helps podcasters get more engagement and followers, provides tools for easier promotion, and helps podcasters discover networking and promotion opportunities with related podcasts.
Podgagement’s full feature suite, including tracking these global podcast charts and rankings, is available in the “Constellation” tier at $19 per month per podcast, with discounts available for yearly subscriptions, nonprofits, and large networks.
