“From My Yard to Your Yard” Podcast Chosen for Official Selection at Aesthetica Short Film Festival 2025
Clayton M. Coke FRSA, acclaimed podcast host and producer, is thrilled to announce that his podcast, From My Yard To Your Yard, has been selected for the Official Selection at the prestigious Aesthetica Short Film Festival (ASFF) 2025. The podcast will be showcased in the festival’s Podcast Lounge from November 5–9 2025 in York, UK, offering audiences a powerful exploration of the Windrush Generation’s legacy.
From My Yard To Your Yard is a deeply personal oral history St. Elizabeth in rural Jamaica, to London UK, in 1962 as part of the Windrush Generation. Recorded in 2021 during Raymond’s grave illness, the podcast preserves his story and reframes the narrative of Black Caribbean British life weaving themes of identity, the Commonwealth and resilience with Ska, Reggae and Gospel undertones. Structured as a classic hero’s journey in three parts it offers an authentic and honest depiction of immigrant life from 1962 to the present day.
