The Podcasthon initiative is excited to share its first major milestone: more than 1,000 podcasts from around the world have already signed up for the 2026 edition.
With 100 days remaining until the event, the goal is to surpass the 2025 record of 1,500 podcasts and engage over 2,000 podcasters globally—uniting to amplify the voices of hundreds of charities during an extraordinary week in March 2026.
Key data
- These 1,000+ first registered come from 42 different countries.
- They speak 4 different languages: French (as in Edition 2023 to 2025), English (since 2025) but also Spanish and German (1st Edition opened in these languages)
- USA contributes the largest contingent of podcasts followed by France and UK.
- Other notable contributions come from Canada, Australia, Belgium, South Africa, …
- But many podcasters are now coming from Germany, Spain and Latin America.
The concept
Founded in 2023, Podcasthon has quickly grown to a truly global movement, in three years. This year’s milestone highlights the growing momentum and shared commitment among podcasters to use their platforms for social good.
Each participating podcast will dedicate an episode to a charity of their choice, sharing compelling stories and fostering meaningful connections with their listeners. The goal is to raise awareness on the maximum number of charities, simultaneously, in a unprecedented audio wave of solidarity.
The upcoming Podcasthon week, scheduled for March 14-20, 2026, promises to be a global celebration of generosity, storytelling, and impact. With major partners like Acast, Ausha, Apple Podcasts, and Spotify supporting the initiative, Podcasthon continues to grow its reach and influence in the podcasting and nonprofit sectors.
