Platform Media Appoints Rhyanna Coleman as Director of Strategy to Lead New Era of IP Expansion
Today, Platform Media announces the appointment of Rhyanna Coleman to the newly created Director of Strategy role. Having previously collaborated on Platform’s high-profile launches, including the podcast debuts of Graham Norton and Ant & Dec, Coleman, formerly of YMU and Spotify, will now develop strategy across Platform’s growing original IP slate.
Following a year of rapid expansion, Platform Media has achieved global success with launches including Olivia’s House with Olivia Attwood, Joe Marler Will See You Now, and Bottom’s Up! with Alan Carr and Lee Peart. The company has built a reputation for creating distinct, audience-first brands around its hit shows.
In her new role, Coleman will refine formats for video-first, platform-agnostic consumption, unlock new revenue streams, and build long-standing community hubs around talent-led content, including subscriptions, live events, and merchandise. She will bridge Platform’s industry-leading creativity with its commercial engine, ensuring the original IP slate is positioned for long-term scale and impact.
“I’m looking forward to getting under the hood of Platform’s original IP, working closely with their incredible creative and commercial teams.” Said Coleman, “As the slate expands, my goal is to ensure we’re not just reaching audiences, but building high-value brands that benefit talent and partners alike.”
Platform Media CEO, Josh Adley said: I’ve partnered with Rhyanna on various shows over the years and every time I came away wishing she was part of our team. She shares our vision and ambition in a way that is hard to find. I can’t wait for her to grow and optimise our slate in a big way.
Coleman joins Platform Media following her tenure at YMU as Head of Podcasts, where she steered the talent management agency’s podcast strategy with a focus on scaling established shows, diversifying revenue streams and developing new and owned IP for clients stepping into the medium.
Prior to YMU, Coleman spent three years as an Executive Producer at Spotify, steering the UK Originals slate. Her leadership on shows like Inner Monologue with Olivia Neill and The Way We Are with Munroe Bergdorf turned those shows into thriving communities, backed by sharp digital strategy.
This strategic hire marks the next chapter in Platform Media’s evolution as they continue to transform the world’s biggest shows into global, multi-platform brands.
