Liz Ellis and DM Podcasts launch No Dribble podcast

DM Podcasts, Australasia’s largest independent podcast network, has joined forces with former Australian Diamonds Captains Liz Ellis AO and Catherine Cox AM and their pal of twenty years, comedian Carolyn Swindell, to launch NO DRIBBLE, a podcast for the community that surrounds and supports Australia’s most popular sport for female participation, netball.

Ellis said, ‘NO DRIBBLE starts with our friendship and our love of netball as a launchpad to talk about the things that matter to women. And let’s face it, there’ll also be talk about things that really don’t matter but are a good chat anyway.’

NO DRIBBLE is described as being the next-best thing to touring with the Diamonds, reminiscent of the best and most entertaining conversations netball lovers have had on the way to netball, on the side-lines at netball, and at the pub after netball.

DM Podcasts Founder Antony Stockdale said there is a gap in the entertainment market for adult netball fans that treats them as more than just fans of the game.

‘We know there is a huge community that surrounds the netball world – and that their interest goes beyond just talking about what’s happening on court at the professional level of the game. So when Liz, Cath and Carolyn brought us this concept that will talk to audiences like they are savvy, interesting, vibrant individuals, we jumped at it,’ Stockdale said.

Liz Ellis who recently joined the Netball Australia Board is Australia’s most-capped Diamond, representing Australia for more than 14 years. Catherine Cox Captained the Australian Diamonds and played more than 100 games for Australia in her 16-year professional career. They played dozens of games together for Australia, winning two World Cups and one Commonwealth Games Gold Medal together. Their short friend Carolyn Swindell is a comedian and writer whose netball credentials fall more into the fan category, but she wants you to know that she was Wing Defence in the Top End Indoor Cricket Sunday Mixed Netball June 1996 winning team and coaches an Under 11 team.
