“Never Not Funny” Podcast Sets 20th Anniversary Marathon Livestream
Never Not Funny: The Jimmy Pardo Podcast will celebrate twenty years of podcasting with a marathon 8-hour livestreaming show. The Never Not Funny 20th Anniversary Spectacular will stream at NeverNotFunny.com and on YouTube on Saturday, April 11, 2026 starting at 4pm Pacific Time.
Jimmy Pardo, alongside his producer and co-host Matt Belknap, pioneered the comedy podcasting genre in 2006 when they recorded the first episode of Never Not Funny at Pardo’s dining room table. Since then, they have released almost 1900 episodes with 600 unique guests including Conan O’Brien, Hannah Einbinder, Jon Hamm, Amy Poehler, John Mulaney, Nikki Glaser, Nate Bargatze, Sarah Silverman, Paul Reiser, Jon Cryer, Tig Notaro, Adam Scott, and musicians like Richard Marx, David Foster, Tommy Shaw (Styx), Kevin Cronin (REO Speedwagon) James Pankow (Chicago), Lisa Loeb, and Weird Al Yankovic.
Never Not Funny was an early adopter of now-ubiquitous livestreaming technology. Pardo hosted Never Not Funny’s first livestreamed fundraiser in 2009, long before the pandemic. The 9-hour marathon livestream, conceived in the vein of nostalgic telethons, featured a round-robin of surprise celebrity guests while raising money for charity. Never Not Funny went on to host ten livestreamed marathons and raise $2 Million for charity.
Never Not Funny also embraced video podcasting early, a format Hollywood is just now investing in. Never Not Funny has produced video episodes since 2008.
The Never Not Funny 20th Anniversary Spectacular will feature the current cast consisting of Pardo, Belknap, video producer Eliot Hochberg and intern Garon Cockrell. In addition to a live band headed up by comedian Wayne Federman, the show will feature over 20 guests and will auction off signed posters to raise money for suicide awareness in honor of their former video producer, Andrew Koenig.
Jimmy Pardo, known as “The Fastest Mind in Comedy,” is renowned for his quick-witted improvisational style. He has made over one hundred television appearances including performances on The Tonight Show, Conan, and The Late Late Show. Inspired by his love of music (Pardo has attended close to 500 rock concerts) and many years in the music business, Jimmy Pardo also hosts the web series Jimmy’s Records & Tapes, currently in its fourth season on YouTube. His three comedy albums, UNO, Pompous Clown and Sprezzatura, have all topped the comedy album charts and many critic’s best of lists.
