NewlyWeds becomes NearlyParents as Sophie Habboo and Jamie Laing announce pregnancy

Podcast hosts Sophie Habboo and Jamie Laing, together with their company JamPot Productions, are delighted to announce that their smash-hit podcast NewlyWeds will rebrand as NearlyParents from today - 9th June 2025, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter: parenthood.

With a fiercely loyal listenership, NewlyWeds (previously NearlyWeds) has chronicled the hilarious, heartfelt, and often chaotic early years of Jamie and Sophie’s marriage. Now, the couple are sharing their biggest news yet, they’re expecting their first child.

As the duo prepare to welcome a baby into their lives, their podcast will evolve with them. NearlyParents will deliver the same addictive mix of honesty, humour, and chemistry fans love, now with a fresh lens on pregnancy, family prep, and the beautiful, messy reality of becoming parents.

Sophie Habboo says:

The rebrand comes during an exciting period for the couple. Sophie is currently joining Jamie on BBC Radio 1’s Going Home Show, co-hosting Monday to Wednesday from 2nd to 18th June while both Vick Hope and Katie Thistleton are on maternity leave. This marks the first time a married couple has co-hosted a show on Radio 1, and adds another milestone to their impressive careers.

The pair have also made waves as red carpet presenters beyond the podcast world, to include hosting 2025 BRIT Awards, Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy, Minecraft and more, ensuring the dynamic duo interview a whole host of A- list Hollywood names.
