National Park After Dark Joins the fwd. network, Expanding Its Female-Led True Crime Portfolio
AdLarge and the fwd. network today announced that the hit podcast National Park After Dark has joined the network’s growing roster of women-led shows, further strengthening its powerful true crime collection.
Co-hosted by Danielle LaRock and Cassie Yahnian, National Park After Dark takes listeners far beyond scenic overlooks and postcard views to uncover the darker side of America’s most iconic public lands. Each week, Danielle and Cassie explore chilling true crime cases, mysterious disappearances, and historical tragedies that unfolded inside national parks across the country; stories that have already captivated a loyal and rapidly growing audience.
Danielle, whose fascination with dark history was sparked during a formative visit to Yellowstone National Park, brings deep curiosity and thoughtful investigation to each case. Cassie, whose connection to national parks began in Yosemite, pairs that intrigue with layered storytelling and a lifelong respect for the outdoors. Both grew up surrounded by New Hampshire wilderness, an environment that shaped their reverence for wild spaces and the risks that can exist within them.
What sets National Park After Dark apart in the saturated true crime space is its distinct lens. From remote trails to isolated campgrounds, the show explores how vast landscapes can inspire awe while concealing danger.
“We’ve always been drawn toward the stories people don’t expect to hear from these places,” says Danielle. “There’s beauty in national parks, but there’s also real history and sometimes that history is dark.”
“We want listeners to understand that these landscapes hold complex human stories,” adds Cassie. “The wild is powerful, and it deserves curiosity and respect.”
“National Park After Dark brings a unique perspective to storytelling, blending curiosity, adventure, and a deep appreciation for the natural world in a way that resonates strongly with their audience,” said Cathy Csukas, CEO of AdLarge and founder of fwd. “At fwd., we’re committed to elevating distinctive creator voices, and Danielle and Cassie have built something truly special. We’re excited to support their continued growth, helping more listeners discover their stories while connecting brands with a community that is deeply engaged and inspired by exploration.”
With this addition, the fwd. network continues to elevate bold women creators while delivering premium, brand-safe content that performs across the marketplace.
