My Mate bought 'My Mate Bought a Toaster' for his Audio Always Originals Network
My Mate Bought a Toaster is the latest podcast to join the Audio Always Originals network, as the well-loved show announces a new partnership deal with the Media City-based production company.
This marks the sixth podcast acquisition for Audio Always this year, among other shows such as Drunk Women Solving Crime, Trusty Hogs and the UK True Crime Podcast.
My Mate Bought A Toaster, hosted by Magic drivetime radio host Tom Price, has become a fan favourite with its unique concept where special guests reveal their Amazon purchase list. The stories alongside the items will have you laughing, crying and adding to your wishlist.
The podcast will now benefit from Audio Always’ industry-leading marketing and commercial expertise and extensive distribution network.
Host Tom, tells us “I’m so excited to be bringing My Mate Bought a Toaster to Audio Always. After making it my life’s mission to go through all my favourite people’s shopping histories to tell their life stories, it’s nice to finally get something that’s been on my Wishlist for a while: a fantastic team, an incredible roster of talent, and access to a whole new audience who can all discover the show, love the show and add themselves to the list of people who’ve said: “wow I’d never let you in my Amazon, it’s so boring” (spoiler: it never, ever, ever is).”
Dominic Price continues to manage the podcast while the partnership with Audio Always will involve a range of initiatives focused on maximising commercial and marketing opportunities for the podcast, with a focus on audience growth.
The Audio Always Originals network includes Help I Sexted My Boss, Secret Mum Club and Carrie Jade Does Not Exist. The network is monetised and distributed via Acast. Business development manager Paul Fernley said: “We are delighted to welcome My Mate Bought A Toaster to the Audio Always family. The podcast brings something truly unique and genius to the podcasting world, and we are excited to support them in growing their audience and revenue.”
