This article is at least a year old

The highly-anticipated third season of adventure-comedy podcast The Monster Hunters returns on February 27. The 6-episode season will air weekly, available on their hosts Acast, on Apple Podcasts, and everywhere podcasts can be found.

The new season follows on from The Monster Hunters’ previous 21 episodes comprising two seasons and a further season of Halloween and Christmas specials. Initially released from 2012, these episodes have been remastered and republished with exclusive bonus content by Definitely Human.

The Monster Hunters is a full-cast audio fiction podcast following the adventures of Lorrimer Chesterfield, a Professor of Occult Studies played by Peter Davis (The London Dungeon, Hellraiser Podcast) and Roy Steel, an international playboy and former big-game hunter played by Matthew Woodcock (MarsCorp, The Trial of Sherlock Holmes). Set in 1970s London, they investigate and combat supernatural threats at the behest of eccentric aristocrat Sir Maxwell House, played by Simon Kane (John Finnemore’s Souvenir Programme, Time Spanner).

Matthew Woodcock and Peter Davis, who co-write the show, said: “We’re really excited to finally unleash our third series of adventures. Working with Definitely Human has been wonderful and we hope that everyone enjoys our latest episodes. This has been the culmination of many years and we have many recurring characters and storylines from previous stories. This is the end of an era but definitely not the end of The Monster Hunters!”
