Podcast.co launches season two of ‘Meet the Podcasters’ interview series
This article is at least a year old
Starting a podcast isn’t difficult.
But producing something other people actually want to listen to is.
And that’s what Meet the Podcasters is all about. How do you create a show good enough that people are willing to give you a significant chunk of their time and attention each week?
Join James Deeney as he explores the craft of podcasting with hosts of successful shows. From concept development and planning to marketing and monetisation, each episode uncovers proven tips, tools, insights, and strategies for growing a loyal audience of engaged listeners.
The video trailer for season two has just dropped on YouTube and provides a quick recap of the first season as well as details of what to expect in upcoming episodes. This launch marks the show’s transition from an audio-only to a video podcast, with new episodes being published every Wednesday on Podcast.co’s channel
James Deeney, host and Head of Content at Podcast.co, said: “I’m grateful for the opportunity I’ve had to get behind-the-scenes insights from hosts I know and respect. Despite what you might read in click-bait articles, there are no shortcuts or ‘hacks’ for building an engaged audience. A podcast lives or dies on the quality of the content itself. And to create something truly excellent it takes hard work, persistence, and a commitment to continually improve episode by episode and year by year.”
Episode one with Chris Williamson, host of Modern Wisdom, premieres next Wednesday, September 15. It covers topics like how the pandemic benefitted content creators, the role your genes play in determining your success as a podcaster, the methods Chris has used to develop his skill as an interviewer, what podcasters should know about the YouTube algorithm, advice on creating and growing a podcast newsletter, and more.
In total, there are eight episodes in season two. The list of upcoming guests includes:
- Colin Gray - Founder of The Podcast Host and Host of Podcraft
- Eoin Murphy & Daire Fitzgerald - Hosts of Sika Strength
- Sarah Malcolm & Serena Louth - Hosts of Kitchen Club
- Nick Jikomes - Host of Mind & Matter
- Amy & Nick Thompson - Hosts of What The Pho Travel Podcast
