Pod People Launching Original Podcasts with TikTok Creators Tyler Gaca, Stanzi Potenza, and Jazmyn W

Pod People, the creative hub for the audio industry’s best teams and ideas, has partnered with some of TikTok’s biggest creators to produce four original podcasts, with more in development.
Since 2017, Pod People has been producing top-tier branded podcasts and staffing audio teams for clients like Netflix, People, Spotify, HBO, Wondery and more. Now, the company is launching their own original podcasts, creating immersive short form podcasts crafted around talented TikTok creators.
Ghosthoney’s Dream Machine launches today, with Stanzi Potenza’s What Fresh Hell is This? to follow on Feb 3. Also in the works are podcasts with Jazmyn W of “White House HR” fame, and TikTok’s favorite fashionista couple, Cristian Dennis and Tyshon Lawrence.
But these won’t be your average celebrity interview shows. In fact, there won’t be any guests at all. Instead, each scripted 15 minute episode will be full of original sketches or characters, with an immersive soundscape crafted around the unique digital presence of each creator.
“While many influencers have tried to convert their audience into podcast listeners, they’ve largely flopped because the show format wasn’t created thoughtfully for the medium,” shares Pod People CEO Rachael King. “Podcasting is for the strange. The niche. Podcasts are where you find your fellow weirdos. If your show is something that any ‘insert big name’ here could step in and host… you’re doing it wrong.”
In the spirit of uplifting creators, Pod People is also announcing the launch of their Pod Pipeline, to source the best original podcast ideas from their talented community of 2,000+ audio creators, with a focus on uplifting underrepresented voices and stories within the audio space. The company will curate, package and send the most innovative, boundary-pushing ideas to the biggest industry players, buyers and distributors each month.
These announcements mark Pod People’s expansion into the IP game, with much more in the pipeline. Says King, “We represent thousands of creative, diverse audio writers and producers who don’t have the connections to get their ideas funded and made — truly original ideas that aren’t being heard. This aims to fix that.”
The company is on track to have 25 original shows publishing by the end of 2022, with the goal of becoming an open-source talent agency for audio. As Hollywood is increasingly looking to podcasts for creative stories they can adapt for TV and film, Pod People is positioning itself as the go-to source for brilliant original podcast talent and IP — especially from up-and-coming voices.
