iVoox and Spotify drive new growth opportunities for content creators

Press Release · Barcelona, Spain ·

The leading Spanish podcast platform, iVoox, announces its integration with Spotify Open Access, an initiative that allows creators to distribute their exclusive content also on Spotify. The company continues to work to promote the professionalization of the industry, offering creators the opportunity to reach a broader audience, increase the visibility of their content and maximize their income. This is one of the first integrations launched by the company, and very soon it will also be available on the rest of the podcast listening platforms.

With this new functionality, the platform reaffirms its commitment to allowing podcasters to maximize their audience growth and continue to monetize their content with their biggest fans. Likewise, unlike other solutions, iVoox allows creators to combine free and paid episodes into a single show, without the need to duplicate content or divide the audience between those who pay and those who do not.

_Misterios Cotidianos by the renowned comedian Ángel Martín and his partner José Lozano, Días Extraños with Santiago Camacho or Planeta Oculto by meteorologist and science communicator Mar Gómez, are some of the podcasts that already monetize with this model.

In addition, the company continues to promote another important monetization channel for creators such as advertising. After becoming a partner of Mediaset España, Publiespaña has incorporated iVoox’s podcast offer to its commercial catalog, which brings this format closer to large agencies and expands the complete media portfolio of the audiovisual group’s subsidiary, made up of television, digital, special initiatives, editorials and the iWall outdoor screen circuit.

An integration that benefits creators and listeners

Now the exclusive episodes will also be available on Spotify, from where listeners can support and listen without leaving the application. This integration allows creators to reach a broader audience and continue to monetize their content with their biggest fans. For their part, new listeners and existing fans can enjoy exclusive content from the listening platform of their choice.

Juan Ignacio Solera, the founder of iVoox, highlights “our commitment has always been to allow creators to live from their passion beyond our platform, which is why this new integration with Spotify is the first of many others, and we are already working so that exclusive content can also be available on the main podcast platforms.”

Direct support and advertising, two proven and growing models

More than five years ago, iVoox pioneered fan subscriptions in its apps, allowing podcasters to receive recurring contributions from their audience directly from where they listen to their content. With thousands of creators successfully monetizing and close to €4M in revenue generated during this time, it is a model that allows exclusive episodes to be offered without compromising audience growth.

This revenue stream complements iVoox’s other monetization models, such as advertising. The company has been working on this solution for the last few years to boost audio advertising, sponsorships and branded content actions with major brands. In addition, thanks to its agreement with Mediaset España, iVoox will reinforce its growth and commercial possibilities this year with the integration of its podcasts to Publiespaña’s catalog.
