Orlando FL, USA—As the popularity of podcasts continues to grow, and as the world of podcasting continues to expand, it has never been more important for those who work within podcasting to unite. The International Podcast Association (IPA) seeks to bring together the podcast community and to support and accelerate the growth and success of every individual and organization within podcasting by offering a place for community support, training, resources, best practices, local events calendars, discounts, news, and industry representation.

The mission of the IPA is simple: to help increase the lifespan and success of all podcasts and podcast careers. Members of the International Podcast Association include independent and professional podcast hosts and producers, service providers, software developers, and equipment manufacturers from around the world.

As the podcast industry continues to grow in size and importance, it is more important than ever that those involved in podcasting have a central hub for support and information. A place they can turn to for the most trusted and up-to-date information on all areas of the podcast industry. A place where they can seek the help and guidance they need to grow and succeed. The IPA will serve as this central organization.

The founding board members of the IPA represent the international and diverse nature of the world of podcasting:

  • Liz Covart (Boston, MA, USA) is a historian and the creator and host of the award-winning podcast Ben Franklin’s World: A Podcast About Early American History

  • James Cridland (Brisbane, QLD, Australia) is a radio futurologist, podcast industry expert, and the founder and producer of the popular industry newsletter and podcast Podnews

  • Chris Curran (Colorado Springs, CO, USA) is an audio engineer, podcast producer, and founder of the Podcast Engineering School

  • Harry Duran (Los Angeles,CA, USA) is the founder of FullCast, a full-service podcast production company, and host of the popular podcast Podcast Junkies

  • Gordon Firemark (Los Angeles, CA, USA), is an entertainment and media industry expert, practicing lawyer, and host of Entertainment Law Update podcast.

  • Glenn Hebert (Ocala, FL, USA) is the founder of the Horse Radio Network, one of the largest independent podcast networks in the world and the premier podcast network for horse lovers

  • Engel Jones (Trinidad and Tobago) is the creator and host of 12 Minute Convos

  • Jaime Legagneur (Boynton Beach, Fl, USA) is the owner/operator of Flint Stone Media, founder of the Florida Podcast Network, and Director of the Wedding Biz Network

  • Heather Welch (New Zealand) is the creator and host of Sunshine & PowerCuts
