BBC Radio 4’s In Our Time to launch as a video podcast on BBC iPlayer from September
From Thursday 17 September, Radio 4's much loved In Our Time hosted by Misha Glenny (pictured above) will be available for audiences to enjoy as a video podcast on BBC iPlayer. Audio editions will continue to be broadcast on Radio 4 and available on BBC Sounds and podcast platforms globally.
Alongside new weekly episodes, a specially-curated audio-only archive edition, chosen and introduced by Misha, will be added to the In Our Time feed on BBC Sounds each week, giving listeners the chance to delve into the programme’s vast archive.
In upcoming episodes, Misha and guests explore: Thomas More’s Utopia, the influential and ambiguous 1516 work that has been interpreted as both an ideal society and a timeless warning; the world of particle accelerators from the Large Hadron Collider to their far-reaching applications in science, medicine and archaeology; and, in an episode recorded live in Sheffield at Crossed Wires Festival, the film Casablanca and its enduring emotional power.
In Our Time has been a cornerstone of Radio 4 since its launch in 1998, bringing listeners in-depth discussions on history, philosophy, science and culture with leading academics and thinkers. It is regularly one of the BBC’s most listened to on demand programmes in the UK and around the world and is one of BBC Sounds’ most popular podcasts among listeners under 35, with its appeal spanning generations.

The new series of In Our Time begins on Thursday 17 September on BBC Radio 4, BBC Sounds and BBC iPlayer. In Our Time is a BBC Studios production for BBC Radio 4.
