Hindenburg is very proud to be recognised by the Danish Centre for Podcasting (https://www.centerforpodcasting.dk/) with the “Pioneer Award” on Sunday.

CEO Chris Mottes rushed to the award after putting the youngest monster to bed, got in late and was totally taken by surprise and a little gobsmacked when the prize was announced just after he walked in, so all he could stammer in bewilderment was…”but we make this so you guys can win awards, not us…” to the audience of brilliant podcasters in the room.

Attached is the official reason for giving Hindenburg this recognition - English translation:

With podcasts, many more voices have been given an opportunity to be heard – all you basically need is a phone. This has paved the way for uncountable narratives and conversations that let the listeners visit other worlds.

This year’s recipients of the Pioneer Award have helped support that development by creating an easy path to good sound.

They started when podcasting was a baby in the shadow of radio, and today their work has been behind unimaginable numbers of podcasts. Behind every good podcast is a strong editing program, and you could say that the recipients of the Pioneer Award are co-producers on many of the podcasts we have highlighted today.

The award recipients’ mission is to “break down the technical divide between storytellers and their audiences”, and that they have certainly made good on with their inexpensive and intuitive editing program.

We are proud that the international program has roots in Denmark, and they are a fantastic partner for us in the fight to get as much as possible well-produced audio content out to the listeners.

Everyone knows Hindenburg, now is the time to pay tribute to the pioneers behind the company. That’s why the 2020 Pioneer Award goes to Hindenburg - Chris Mottes, Preben Friis and Nick Dunkerley.
