From Seven Million Downloads to the Stage: Haunted UK Podcast Announces First-Ever Live Show on Friday the 13th
After five years exploring Britain’s most mysterious locations and amassing more than seven million downloads, Haunted UK Podcast creator Steven Holloway is preparing to bring his paranormal storytelling to the stage for the very first time.
Haunted UK Live will debut at Birmingham’s NEC on Friday 13 November 2026, during the Mind Body Spirit Festival, with a special 90-minute performance beginning at 7 pm.
The event marks a significant milestone for the independent British podcast, which Holloway launched in 2021 out of a lifelong fascination with ghost stories, haunted history and unexplained phenomena.
What began as a passion project has since grown into a full-time career. In 2026, Holloway left his previous employment to dedicate himself entirely to Haunted UK, having built an international following through carefully researched narratives, atmospheric audio production and first-hand accounts submitted by listeners.
Now, he is taking that storytelling beyond the headphones.
“When I started Haunted UK, I never imagined it would reach millions of listeners, let alone lead to the opportunity to bring these stories to a live audience,” says Holloway.
“Ghost stories have always brought people together. There’s something special about sharing an unexplained experience and seeing how different people react to it. I’m excited to recreate some of that atmosphere in person, and Friday the 13th feels like the perfect occasion.”
The debut performance will explore some of the darker corners of Birmingham and the Black Country, featuring the haunted history of Aston Hall, a disturbing account of a family reportedly driven from their home, and a chilling personal experience submitted by a Haunted UK listener.
Known for its immersive production and thoughtful approach to the paranormal, Haunted UK examines everything from historic hauntings and British folklore to modern encounters that resist easy explanation. Rather than insisting on a particular interpretation of paranormal experiences, the podcast invites listeners to consider the history, testimony and unanswered questions behind each story.
The live show will bring that same approach to the stage, offering an evening designed for paranormal enthusiasts, curious newcomers, and sceptics who simply appreciate an extraordinary story.
Holloway’s live debut takes place as part of the Mind Body Spirit Festival, which returns to Birmingham’s NEC from 13–15 November 2026. The event brings together voices from across spirituality, wellbeing and personal development, with Haunted UK Live offering a distinctive after-hours addition to Friday’s programme.
For a podcast that has spent five years bringing Britain’s ghost stories into homes around the world, the performance offers something entirely new: the opportunity for listeners to experience those stories together.
Tickets for Haunted UK Live also include admission to the Mind Body Spirit Festival throughout Friday 13 November, allowing visitors to explore the festival’s exhibitions, talks and experiences during the day before returning to the Main Stage for an evening of supernatural storytelling.
With festival activities running from 11 am to 6 pm, attendees can make an entire day of the occasion before the 7 pm performance.
