Amanda Knox Re-Launches Podcast as “Hard Knox” — Turning Adversity into Insight
Amanda Knox, bestselling author, journalist, and exoneree, announces the launch of her new podcast Hard Knox with Amanda Knox, a weekly show that explores the deep questions of how we survive—and grow—through life’s most disorienting challenges.
After five successful years producing the story-driven Labyrinths podcast, Knox is pivoting the focus to an ideas-first show where she engages with thinkers, artists, and survivors about resilience, meaning, and transformation. Each episode confronts the philosophical terrain of adversity—examining trauma, healing, stoicism, Zen, and the ethics of survival—with unflinching clarity, emotional intelligence and her trademark wit.
“After years of telling stories—my own and others’ —I realized I wanted to spend more time on the ideas underneath the narrative arcs," Knox says.
“Hard Knox is a space to think out loud about what hardship teaches us, what justice demands of us, and how we live with what we can’t undo."
In addition to weekly guest interviews, the show will feature companion episodes in which Knox reflects solo, prompted by listener questions and guided by her husband and producer Christopher Robinson. These personal reflections will explore the ideas raised in each episode and respond to audience engagement, creating a space for sustained philosophical dialogue.
Alongside the podcast, Knox is also launching a Substack, where listeners can access subscriber-only episodes and original essays, and connect directly with her.
Early episodes feature conversations with:
- Rick Steves on how travel changes us, what it teaches us about resilience, and why it continues to be such a powerful force in our lives.
- Dan Savage on sex, relationships, ethics, and identity.
- Marcia Clark on the weight of public scrutiny, the evolving nature of justice, and the tension between truth, media, law, and narrative.
- Monica Lewinsky on reclaiming your own narrative and the price of silence versus the risk of speaking out.
Hard Knox is available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and all major podcast platforms. The companion Substack is available at amandaknox.substack.com
