Black Innovation Alliance launches podcast From Chains to Links: The Innovation Podcast

Press Release · Washington, DC, USA ·

The Black Innovation Alliance (BIA), a coalition dedicated to closing the racial wealth gap, will kick off Juneteenth with the new podcast From Chains to Links: The Innovation Podcast. The new podcast will go beyond traditional entrepreneurial topics to explore the intersection of culture, identity and business, as well as examine the systemic barriers faced by Black entrepreneurs.

BIA CEO Dr. Kelly Burton and Ifeoma Ike, attorney, author and founder of Pink Cornrows, an award-winning public policy, communications and social impact firm, will host and spotlight in each episode how Black people have innovated survival, joy, creativity, curiosity, collective economics, healing, and revolution. Guests and experts will share the stories of their own journeys to shed light on Black entrepreneurship in an authentic and honest way. Topics include the future of racial justice work, Black innovators and visionaries, innovation and sustainability as a birthright, the new book “The Equity Mindset,” and building the 21st century civil rights movement.

“This is not just about celebrating Juneteenth. It’s about shining a light on Black innovation and entrepreneurship the entire month and beyond,” said Dr. Kelly Burton, CEO of Black Innovation Alliance. “Our first season offers a more diverse approach to solving the racial wealth gap, believing that it will take the entire village to create a quality of life for Black businesses and communities. Listeners will not only be inspired, but appreciated, seen and transformed.”
