Gerald Cotten died in 2018 while on a honeymoon trip to India. His customers were told that the $215 million they’d deposited on the exchange was lost forever — because Gerry had forgotten to leave behind his passwords.
But soon accountants discovered it wasn’t actually frozen. It was gone. The vaults had been emptied out 8 months before Cotten died.
And that’s not all: Not everyone believes Gerry is dead.
Alongside a small team, Lammer has spent the last two years investigating what really happened with Cotten and Quadriga. He tells the whole unbelievable story over 8 episodes, starting today.
ABOUT THE TEAM
Exit Scam was produced as a passion project by Lammer alongside Lane Brown (New York Magazine, Grantland) who co-wrote and co-produced it.
Aaron Lammer, is the co-founder of Longform and a co-host of the Longform Podcast, as well as the beloved cryptocurrency podcast CoinTalk. Lammer is also a longtime part of the music project Francis and the Lights, which did the theme song for Exit Scam.
