Good Tape and Goat Rodeo launch new editorial franchise Ear Stuff

Press Release · Los Angeles CA, United States · via Good Tape ·

Good Tape and Goat Rodeo have partnered to launch Ear Stuff, a new editorial franchise featuring long-form reviews of compelling narrative podcasts.

Podcast discovery is increasingly fragmented, and audiences frequently encounter the medium through short-form video clips on social media. Ear Stuff will cut through the noise and surface standout shows, spotlighting exceptional long-form narrative podcasts with curated editorial recommendations.

“Podcast discovery has been a persistent challenge for the industry, but it’s also one of the most exciting areas to address,” said Becca James, managing editor of Good Tape Magazine. “The best recommendations don’t come from an algorithm. They come from people who are genuinely passionate about what they’re listening to and eager to tell others, ‘You have to hear this.’”

“In every great creative medium, the work is strengthened by people who write about it, challenge it, champion it, and help audiences discover it,” said Ian Enright, CEO of Goat Rodeo. “Podcasting can sometimes feel like we skipped that step in a sea of marketing. From day one, Good Tape has brought the kind of voice, criticism, and curation our industry has been missing. Ear Stuff is celebrating exceptional storytelling and making sure remarkable shows don’t simply disappear into the feed.”

“Partnering with Goat Rodeo on Ear Stuff was a natural fit,” said James. “They understand the value of ambitious audio storytelling and share our belief that great podcasts deserve to be heard, shared, and celebrated, and that’s exactly what this collaboration is designed to do.”
