The Department of Midnight launches with all-star cast

The Bellport Theater On The Air, the newly launched scripted podcast studio from animation luminaries Fred Seibert and Kevin Kolde, today announced the release of their first series: paranormal thriller The Department of Midnight. Created by Amazon Top 100 and New York Times bestselling author and award-winning comic book creator Warren Ellis, whose credits include graphic novels Transmetropolitan, Fell, and creator of Netflix’s hit animated series Castlevania, and featuring an all-star vocal cast including James Callis (Battlestar Galactica, Slow Horses, Bridget Jones’s Diary, Castlevania), Alicia Witt (Longlegs, Dune), and Carla Gugino (Watchmen, The Haunting of Hill House), the edge-of-your seat listening experience blends science fiction, folklore, and horror in this dramatic 6-part scripted mystery.

Set to make its debut on August 20th, The Department of Midnight follows Dr. John Carnack (James Callis), whose history of experimentation with dark matter led to tragedy. His redemption is working for the Department of Midnight, investigating dangerous dark matter experiments, trying to prevent further disasters. But there’s a pattern. And it all leads back to him. As scientific theory suggests, dark matter is information - a fifth form of matter that we can wake up. But waking it up can let dark things out.
